Fathom primarily explores how biology influences and is influenced by culture. This innovative work is inspired by trailblazing scientist and artist Ernst Haeckel's deep-sea illustrations and puppeteer Jim Henson's human-animal Muppets. Using related imagery and intricate, experimental programming, Fathom directed generational AI systems to create this work.
